I’ve recently been to one of the most amazing cities with such a big streetart scene that makes me fall in love with it again everytime I visit it. So lucky me, I spent a few days in Barcelona and had enough time to enjoy the vibes of this great city by walking around the streets of Barri Gòtic and Raval, having a break in the Ciutadella park or gazing at the city from one of the hills around the city.
Let’s begin with some kind of graffiti tour through Raval and Gothic quartier
Carrer Canvis Nous is the perfect place to paste or spray - illegal but respected
you can see artwork of many Barcelona-based streetartists there
Some also use it for giving their furniture a new home :)
When walking through the streets of the quartiers with your eyes left and right to the walls and shutters, especially when you're having your walk by siesta time when most of the small shops are closed with their shutters down you can maybe spot some nice artwork on them.

By reaching the very center of the quartiers with all the narrow roads where the blue sky is only a stripe somewhere above your head dare to get a bit lost and turn in some more narrow streets where not so many people are crossing your way, you will find things like these at almost every doorstep or gate you walk past.

konair is almost everywhere ! |
Streetart in Barcelona is always surprising cause there are so many different kinds of how it is displayed on the walls. To mention just a few of the most common styles found in Barcelona consider the pasteups that are one of my favorites cause they come along in many different kind of ways and are often very filigree, like the artist has just ripped out a page from his or her sketchbook and pasted it up totally spontaneous.
A paradise for pasteup lovers are doors like this !
Artists I could recognize: konair , veganbunnies_art , stencilbox , balu_art , bombingart , elgordo streetart , whisbe , rombillos , Seclestyle

Another kind of making streetart is the stencilart where the artists do not spray the motives freehand but having prepared a stencil, or even some more - depends on the work, that they spray over with paint and look what beautiful results come out, I do love stencil art just as much as pasteups (or even a bit more;D)
