Guess what? Already one month of 2016 is over and this means there's a new calender page waiting for you! Excited? Then click HERE to download the free february.
Every beginning of a month I post the belonging calendar page. You can do with it whatever you want, just leave it on your computer or press the print button and decorate your wall with it. I think that calendars are always a good decoration because they are not only there to make your home look beautiful but also to inform you which date we're at :) In my room I hung up 3 different calendars this year so I will never miss a date I hope.
What about you? Do you also have this kind of addiction to beautiful calendars and how many of them did you hang up this year?

My advices for any women out there who wants to travel alone
Travel tips, uncensored out of my travel diary...
Don't forget your credit card (in case you own one...if not, get one immediately - you never know when the post service decides to strike!)
No, it's not all about the money, but sometimes it may seem like that
If you feel goddamn alone, try to connect with 'wild' cats
Don't trust the wrong 'advices', but don't miss out on the good ones (after a while of travelling you will get a feel for differantiating between the two of them anyways)
Just remember, in order to live the ultimate travel adventure, no matter if on your own or with some travel companions, you have to make your own experiences. That's the only thing that counts!
One more thing...
While travelling all things kind of stick together. You mostly never do things that have no influence on another. Everything depends on anything you're doing along the day. It's practically a pretty small world for you and your travel-moment but it also comes along with a bunch of freedom and vacancies and...food! (nah, just kidding, sometimes you feel like dying of hunger because you missed the opening times of the only supermarket in the tiniest village in the middle of Andalucia. But don't you worry, there will be a looot of delicious dishes to taste on the road to turn you into a satisfied traveller again:)
All I wanted to tell you in this post was basically "If you have the chance to do something, DO IT - And don't you dare hesitate!
Wanna let me know about your travel tips? You're always welcome to leave a comment, otherwise you can already make me happy by starting to think about your your next dream trip :)

Here I am. En Malaga y la quiero mucho!
And I now
have the next few days to discover ‘todo’. Next to my apartment is the
‘Alcazaba’, a very old castle with lots of history. My friendly host
recommended me some places to visit in the city and the only thing is that I
can’t wait! But now I just need to sit down a little and sleep cause I didn’t
get enough of that last night. One more thing that is also very beautiful about
here is that the immense heat of 38 degrees actually doesn’t feel like it
because of the wind that comes from the sea. Ohh the sea, I’m gonna head there
tomorrow, too!

As I already mentioned I went on a trip to Spain and Portugal for the summer. Now I feel like giving you some insights in my small and big adventures of that time. From now on I will post a short story from my travel diary everyday. I hope you'll enjoy it :)
After
passing through the security check-in I was chilling on a half-comfortable bank
and watching the small amount of people passing by. Heading to their departure
gate or just on their way to the bathroom. That’s the ultimate so called
‘airport-life’ and it’s all about waiting of course.
Besides the
waiting and sitting time out I feel excited and pretty anxious at the same
time. Short: I don’t know what to feel. Only my stomach is telling me what I’m
actually going through. So let’s see what happens next…
When I
looked out the airplane window I felt like home immediately
So I was on
that AB plane and felt like: ‘Oh my! At least my wanderlust and need for
adventure arrived.’ As I closed my eyes and tried to sleep a bit, this
feeling just came to me…yeah I’m leaving, don’t know when coming back…all THAT.
And I loved it. And wanted more - that’s because I’m here.

The travel mood caught me off guarded
Today I received an e-mail from a friend who is spending one year in
India. I was very curious what she was writing about cause I am always interested
in what she is experiencing there. As I’ve been a bit worried about her because
three weeks ago she told me that she and her group were planning a trip to
Nepal at the beginning of May – yes, exactly the time the earthquake took place
there - I was very glad to hear that they changed their route to a trip through northern
India.
So they’re currently staying in a town near Delhi and working at the
German Bakery at the riverside of ‘Ganges’, the big holy river thats water may
be good for your body and soul if you have a bath (or some more:)) in there. I find it incredible, that she made it there and then got a
job at this well known bakery that I just saw in a movie last week!
When I read
her e-mail for the first time, I immediately had to think of the German movie “Beste
Chance” where a girl is searching for her best friend in Delhi and ending up in
this bakery at the riverside of Ganges deciding to stay there for longer to
free her soul and find to her true self. I found myself smiling of this coincidence…because
if I hadn’t brought the movie home from the library and watched it, I wouldn’t have
known that such a beautiful place even existed, let alone what it looked like.
I love these movies that make me wanna pack my own backpack and just go
wherever it takes me.
Do you also have this feeling
when watching a movie related to travel? Maybe you have some kickass movie
recommendations for me? ;)
In this moment the excitement got me and I wanted to feel like I was also
spending some time there. So I picked up a pen and my small sketchbook, looked
at some pictures from this beautiful place again and started drawing. I almost
felt like I was sitting there on a wooden chair, by myself, just watching the
people passing the bridge and the turquoise water floating down the river.
How
beautiful this must be. I like to have these imagined trips to foreign places.
It’s a great method to overcome your wanderlust a bit and have a travel
adventure at home. If you haven’t tried it yet, what are you waiting for? Besides
sketching it also works with a lot of other cool things:)
